Congratulations to the Robert Mayer Leadership Academy’s (RMLA) Class of 2026!
Every September, a new group of professionals walks through the doors of the Robert Mayer Leadership Academy with different backgrounds, different careers, and different reasons for applying. By June, they leave with something they all share: a deeper understanding of Huntington Beach, stronger relationships across our community, and a renewed commitment to leadership through service.
The Class of 2025–2026 embodied exactly what RMLA is all about.
Over the course of nine months, participants stepped behind the scenes of the institutions that shape our city. They explored local government, public safety, environmental services, education, healthcare, economic development, community organizations, and the countless partnerships that keep Huntington Beach moving forward. Along the way, they heard directly from the leaders making decisions every day and gained a perspective that simply can’t be learned from the outside looking in.
But RMLA has always been about more than learning.
Throughout the year, this class challenged one another, built lasting friendships, and collaborated on a community impact project that reflects one of the Academy’s core values: leadership is measured not by title, but by service.
Each participant brought their own experiences and expertise to the table, creating thoughtful conversations, new ideas, and meaningful connections that will continue long after graduation. Those relationships are one of the greatest strengths of the Academy and one of the reasons our alumni network continues to make a difference throughout Huntington Beach.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2025–2026, we also recognize the many volunteers, speakers, alumni, community partners, and supporters who generously shared their time and expertise throughout the year. RMLA exists because of a community willing to invest in its future leaders.
