If you’re looking to grow as a leader while gaining a deeper understanding of Huntington Beach, the Robert Mayer Leadership Academy invites you to apply for the Class of 2027.
For more than two decades, RMLA has brought together professionals from business, government, education, healthcare, public safety, nonprofit organizations, and the community at large to explore what it takes to build a stronger city. Participants spend nine months learning directly from local leaders, visiting the organizations that shape our community, and developing relationships that often last well beyond graduation.
What makes the Academy unique is its immersive approach.
Rather than sitting through lectures or leadership seminars, participants experience Huntington Beach from the inside out. Each monthly session provides a behind-the-scenes look at the people, partnerships, and decisions that influence our city every day. Along the way, class members engage in meaningful conversations, challenge their own perspectives, and gain a broader understanding of the opportunities and responsibilities that come with leadership.
The experience extends beyond the classroom.
Participants work alongside classmates from a wide range of professions and backgrounds, creating connections that become trusted professional relationships and lasting friendships. Together, each class also plans and completes a community impact project, applying what they’ve learned while leaving a tangible, positive mark on Huntington Beach.
